Outstanding performance
Deportivo Riestra•GoalkeeperInstituto secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Deportivo Riestra in a match that came to life in the second half. Despite Riestra controlling 53% possession and generating 107 dangerous attacks to Instituto's 54, it was the visitors who proved more clinical in front of goal. Alex Luna's close-range finish on 59 minutes proved to be the decisive moment, capitalizing on Instituto's better conversion rate from their 16 shots. The match turned scrappy in the closing stages with six yellow cards awarded, as Riestra desperately searched for an equalizer but couldn't break down Instituto's resolute defense. This victory strengthens Instituto's position in the Liga Profesional standings, while Riestra will rue their inability to convert territorial dominance into goals.
