Outstanding performance
Estudiantes de Río Cuarto•MidfielderBarracas Central pulled off a crucial away victory despite being thoroughly dominated by Estudiantes de Río Cuarto for large portions of the match. The visitors were clinical in a frantic first-half period, with Damián Martínez opening the scoring on the half-hour mark before Norberto Briasco doubled their advantage with a well-placed header from Rodrigo Insúa's set-piece delivery. Estudiantes controlled 75% of possession and created significantly more chances, but their wastefulness in front of goal proved costly as they managed just one reply through Facundo Cobos before the break. Despite creating three big chances to Barracas' none and dominating the statistics across the board, the home side couldn't find the equalizer in a more subdued second half, highlighting their ongoing struggles to convert dominance into results.
