Outstanding performance
Rosario Central•AttackerRosario Central secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Atlético Tucumán in a match dominated by the hosts from start to finish. With 67% possession and 18 shots to Tucumán's 16, Central controlled proceedings throughout. Alejo Veliz was the star performer, scoring twice despite missing an early penalty - his header gave Central the lead after a defensive lapse, while his late winner sealed three vital points in the title race. The first half was particularly eventful with multiple bookings and both teams creating quality chances, but Central's clinical finishing proved the difference against a Tucumán side that managed just four shots on target despite creating four big chances.
