“Leonardo Heredia concedes penalty with foul in the box after VAR review”

Argentinos Juniors
Platense
Argentinos Juniors snatched a dramatic 1-0 victory over Platense with Alan Lescano converting a penalty deep into stoppage time. The match was a cagey affair with both sides struggling to create clear chances throughout the 90 minutes, evidenced by the heavy card count and lack of flowing football. Leonardo Heredia's costly foul in the penalty area handed Argentinos the lifeline they desperately needed, before the match descended into chaos with both teams finishing with 10 men after Nicolás Diez and Selim Ilgaz were dismissed for arguing. This crucial three points could prove vital for Argentinos Juniors in the Liga Profesional standings, while Platense will rue missing the opportunity to take a point from what looked destined to be a goalless draw.
