Outstanding performance
Lanús•MidfielderLanús delivered a devastating first-half performance to demolish Newell's Old Boys 5-0 at home, with Dylan Aquino's hat-trick the centerpiece of a clinical display. The hosts opened through Walter Bou's 16th-minute penalty after a handball in the box, before Aquino took center stage with three goals in 17 minutes spanning both halves. Eduardo Salvio capped the rout with the fifth goal just minutes after Aquino completed his treble. This emphatic victory strengthens Lanús' position in the Liga Profesional table and represents a significant boost to their title ambitions, while Newell's Old Boys face serious questions about their defensive structure after conceding five goals without reply.
