Outstanding performance
Instituto•MidfielderInstituto took an early stranglehold on this Liga Profesional encounter through Diego Sosa's clinical 38th-minute finish, capitalizing on Juan Ignacio Méndez's assist after sustained pressure. San Lorenzo struggled to break down Instituto's organized defensive shape for much of the contest, forcing manager changes with the introduction of Luciano Vietto at halftime. The Argentine forward proved to be the difference-maker, rescuing a point with a brilliant left-footed strike from an acute angle four minutes from time. The draw maintains both teams' mid-table positions but represents two points dropped for Instituto, who will rue their inability to see out what appeared to be a comfortable away victory.
