Outstanding performance

Racing Club did the damage early, scoring twice in the first half through Tomás Conechny and Adrián Martínez to effectively settle the contest before the break. Racing controlled proceedings with 53% possession and were far more clinical, converting two of their five shots on target while completely nullifying Estudiantes' threat for long stretches. Estudiantes created chances of their own - three big chances created and even more missed - but wasted them until Mauro Valiente's 88th-minute header gave the home crowd hope. Despite being outworked defensively (Racing made 21 tackles to Estudiantes' 13), Racing held on, and the result keeps them firmly in the title conversation while Estudiantes' inefficiency in front of goal continues to cost them against top-tier opposition.
How entertaining was this match?
Two of Zona B's struggling sides collide on Monday night, with Racing Club entering a new chapter under interim coach Sebastián 'Chirola' Romero after Juan Pablo Vojvoda's exit. Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, mired in a brutal losing streak and sitting bottom of the zone, desperately need a result to kickstart their survival push.
