Outstanding performance

Atlético Tucumán pressed forward relentlessly, out-shooting Belgrano 17 to 10 and winning seven corners to three, but couldn't turn pressure into a breakthrough against a disciplined visiting side. Belgrano controlled the ball for long stretches with 62% possession and superior passing accuracy, absorbing Tucumán's territorial dominance while looking sharper going forward with the only big chance created and missed of the match. The game was littered with fouls and bookings in the second half as frustration mounted, with five yellow cards shown from the 45th minute onward but no player sent off. Neither side found the cutting edge needed to break the deadlock, leaving both teams to settle for a point that does little to shift the title race picture.
