2 – 3
“Junior Marabel opened the scoring, converting Pablo Magnin's assist to give Sarmiento a deserved lead after a period of sustained home pressure that had already seen a blocked shot and a wayward header.”
Pivotal“Within two minutes of the restart, Argentinos Juniors levelled through Alan Lescano — a lightning-fast response that immediately neutralised the three-goal advantage Sarmiento had built in the first half, and arrived directly off the back of three Argentinos substitutions at the break.”
Pivotal“Sebastián Prieto put Argentinos ahead for the first time, capitalising on a frantic spell that had seen two Sarmiento offsides and a further Argentinos substitution, swinging the match firmly in the visitors' favour.”
Pivotal“Renzo Orihuela restored parity from a corner, giving Sarmiento renewed hope and setting up a tense final twenty minutes — the equaliser coming after Marabel had already been denied by the Argentinos keeper and Jainikoski had wasted a chance.”
Pivotal“Substitute Diego Porcel broke Sarmiento hearts with a stoppage-time winner, arriving after Coronel had been blocked and Gutiérrez had fired wide, before Porcel was immediately dismissed for unsportsmanlike conduct — a sensational, chaotic end to the match.”
PivotalOutstanding performance

Argentinos Juniors showed real resilience to come from behind twice and steal three points from a Sarmiento side that gave everything but ultimately ran out of answers in the dying seconds. Junior Marabel had given the hosts a deserved lead after sustained pressure, but Argentinos hit back immediately after the interval through Alan Lescano, then went ahead via Sebastián Prieto within ten minutes of the restart. Sarmiento refused to fold — Renzo Orihuela's equaliser from a 69th-minute corner injected genuine drama — but the visitors dominated possession at 55-45 and were more composed in the final third, their 84 percent pass accuracy tellingly superior to Sarmiento's 74 percent. It was substitute Diego Porcel who had the final word, bundling home in stoppage time before being shown a second yellow for his celebrations, a fittingly frenetic conclusion to a match that saw a mass tactical reshuffle at half-time shape the entire second half.
