Slavia Sofia looked to be cruising to a comfortable friendly victory after Ivan Minchev's double put them 2-0 ahead before halftime, but Marek staged a spirited fightback to salvage a share of the spoils. Minchev was the standout performer in the opening period, finding the net twice in 25 minutes to give his side complete control of the contest. However, Simeon Veshev's strike just two minutes after Minchev's second goal provided Marek with a crucial lifeline before the break. The visitors continued to press in the second half and were rewarded with a dramatic equalizer five minutes from time, turning what seemed like a routine Slavia Sofia win into an entertaining 2-2 draw that will give both sides valuable match fitness ahead of their competitive campaigns.
