“Regő Szánthó breaks the deadlock with a well-taken goal to give Žilina the lead”

Žilina
Opava
Žilina secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Opava in this Club Friendlies encounter, with Hungarian midfielder Regő Szánthó providing the decisive moment just past the hour mark. The home side appeared to grow into the game after a measured first half, with Szánthó's 63rd-minute strike proving to be the difference in what was otherwise a tightly contested affair. The clean sheet will provide confidence for Žilina's defensive unit, while Opava will rue their inability to find an equalizer despite having nearly 30 minutes to respond. This result continues Žilina's positive momentum in their pre-season preparations, while Opava will need to sharpen their attacking output ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
