Outstanding performance
Amiens SC•MidfielderAmiens SC produced a clinical first-half display to overwhelm Montreuil FC and secure their passage to the next round of the Coupe de France. Despite Anthony Adel's early opener giving the hosts hope, Amiens responded with devastating efficiency through Yanis Rafii, Yvan Ikia Dimi, and Teddy Averlant to establish a commanding 3-1 interval lead. Rayan Lutin's strike immediately after the restart effectively killed the contest, though Idris Kadded's response kept Montreuil fighting until Nkashama Muteba's dismissal for a second yellow card ended their resistance. The victory showcases Amiens' superior quality and composure in knockout competition, while Montreuil can take pride in their spirited effort against higher-level opposition.
Classic David vs Goliath as non-professional Montreuil FC welcome Ligue 2's Amiens SC to the Coupe de France Round of 32. The hosts arrive in good cup form with two recent positive results, while Amiens bring superior quality but the pressure of expectation in this knockout thriller.
