Al Ain secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Al Jazira in a heated encounter that was defined more by its physicality than flowing football. The match remained deadlocked for over 80 minutes as both sides struggled to break down stubborn defenses, with seven yellow cards handed out reflecting the intense nature of this UAE Pro League fixture. Kaku emerged as the hero for Al Ain with a vital 83rd-minute strike that proved to be the difference, capitalizing on what appeared to be a rare moment of quality in an otherwise scrappy affair. The result lifts Al Ain's form and provides important momentum in the league standings, while Al Jazira will rue their inability to convert territorial advantages into clear-cut chances throughout the contest.
Second-placed Al Ain travel to Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium to face fifth-placed Al Jazira in this Abu Dhabi derby. The league leaders are in excellent form with four wins in their last six games, while Al Jazira have managed just three wins in the same period.
