Shabab Al Ahli Dubai and Al Wahda played out a frustrating 1-1 draw that highlighted both teams' struggles in the lower half of the UAE Pro League table. The hosts looked to have secured a crucial victory when Mateusão broke the deadlock just before halftime, but their lead was wiped out early in the second half through Kauan Santos' unfortunate own goal. Both managers made numerous substitutions in search of a winner, with Al Wahda introducing Sardar Azmoun and other attacking options, but neither side could find the breakthrough that would have provided vital points in their battle to climb away from the relegation zone.
