Outstanding performance

Unión La Calera did what they needed to do early, striking through Nicolás Ferreyra in the 16th minute and then defending that lead with disciplined, physical football. Despite conceding 58% possession and being outpassed 416 to 316, La Calera were far more direct and effective in the tackle, winning 21 compared to Limache's 12, essentially strangling the away side's rhythm. Limache had more of the ball and more corners (6 to 1) but couldn't turn territorial dominance into a real attacking edge, managing just two shots on target all match. The result keeps La Calera firmly in the title conversation while Limache's toothless second half, with only one notable moment of note after the break, will raise questions about their finishing and composure under pressure going forward.
How entertaining was this match?
Unión La Calera turn to interim boss Carlos Galdames as they battle relegation, needing a spark against a Deportes Limache side riding high in sixth place. Limache already thumped La Calera 4-0 earlier this season, adding extra bite to this rematch at Estadio Nicolás Chahuán Nazar.
