Cobresal
Palestino
Cobresal took a shock lead through Janpol Morales in the 17th minute despite being outplayed for long stretches, then had to see out over 20 minutes a man down after Morales picked up two yellows and a red by the 67th minute. Palestino dominated the ball with 74% possession and created far more chances, racking up 23 shots and 10 corners to Cobresal's 10 shots and 3 corners, yet couldn't find a breakthrough against a resilient home defense. Renato Huerta, on as a late substitute, sealed the win with a goal in the 90th minute to make it 2-0, capping a stunning defensive performance where Cobresal converted just a fraction of their chances into a statement result. For Cobresal, sitting mid-table, this is a huge confidence boost against a Palestino side who will be frustrated at wasting such overwhelming control of the match.
