Outstanding performance

Incheon United dominated the underlying numbers, out-shooting Ulsan on dangerous attacks 86 to 62 and edging corners 9-6, but it was Ulsan who made their moments count. A goalless first half gave way to a devastating three-minute spell after the break, with Seung-hyun Jung opening the scoring in the 53rd minute before Dong-gyeong Lee doubled the lead just three minutes later, capping his own assist with a goal of his own. Incheon hauled one back through a Stefan Mugosa penalty in the 73rd minute after a string of corners forced the issue, but couldn't find the second equalizer despite pushing numbers forward with five substitutions in the final quarter-hour. The result keeps Ulsan's push up the table alive while Incheon, despite their territorial dominance, will rue their profligacy in front of goal against a side sitting comfortably above them in the standings.
