PivotalOutstanding performance

Gimcheon Sangmu dominated for large stretches, racking up 60 dangerous attacks to Gwangju's 33 and looking firmly in control after goals from Kim Yi-Seok and Jae-hyun Go put them 2-0 up by the 54th minute. But the introduction of fresh legs off the Gwangju bench, particularly Hólmbert Aron Friðjónsson, completely flipped the momentum, with John Iredale pulling one back within 12 minutes of the second goal before Friðjónsson leveled things at 2-2 in the 78th minute. Despite Gimcheon's clear territorial and statistical dominance, Gwangju's efficiency from the bench proved the difference, salvaging a point that owed everything to second-half changes. The result leaves Gimcheon frustrated after squandering a two-goal cushion, while Gwangju will feel they snatched something valuable from a game they were losing control of for most of the first hour.
