Outstanding performance
Rayo Vallecano•AttackerRayo Vallecano seized control of this Europa Conference League first leg with an impressive away performance in Turkey. Alexandre Zurawski's early strike and late clincher bookended a dominant display, with Álvaro García's counterattack goal proving crucial just before halftime. Despite Marius Mouandilmadji's immediate equalizer from a well-worked set piece, Samsunspor struggled to contain Rayo's pace on the break, particularly through the dangerous combination of Isi Palazón and García. The Spanish side now hold a commanding two-goal advantage heading into the second leg, leaving Samsunspor needing a significant turnaround at home to progress in European competition.
