Hà Nội
Thể Công-Viettel secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Hà Nội thanks to Huu Thang Nguyen's well-taken goal five minutes before halftime. The match turned decisively in the final quarter when Hà Nội's Daniel Passira was shown two yellow cards in quick succession, leaving his team to defend their narrow deficit with ten men for the final twelve minutes. Thể Công-Viettel managed the game professionally after taking the lead, while Hà Nội's discipline cost them dearly in what was already a tight encounter. This result will boost Thể Công-Viettel's position in the V-League standings while leaving Hà Nội to rue missed opportunities and poor game management.
How entertaining was this match?
Third-placed Thể Công-Viettel host fourth-placed Hà Nội in a crucial capital derby that could reshape the V-League title race. With just 4 points separating the sides and both missing key midfielders through suspension, this promises to be a tactically fascinating encounter at Hàng Đẫy.
