Persepolis
Kheybar Khorramabad
Kheybar Khorramabad pulled off a significant upset against Persepolis with a disciplined away performance that combined clinical finishing with resolute defending. Ehsan Hosseini's early strike set the tone for the visitors, who absorbed pressure effectively before doubling their lead through Esmaeil Babaei's penalty conversion. Despite Persepolis making multiple substitutions and throwing everything forward in search of an equalizer, Igor Sergeev's late consolation goal proved too little too late. This result represents a crucial three points for Kheybar in their league campaign, while Persepolis will rue missed opportunities and a lack of cutting edge in the final third when it mattered most.
