East Bengal delivered a stunning 7-0 demolition of Mohammedan in what became one of the most one-sided encounters in ISL history. The match was effectively decided within the first 38 minutes as East Bengal raced to a 3-0 lead through Anwar Ali's opener and penalties from Youssef Ezzejjari and Saúl Crespo, with Mohammedan's task made impossible when Joseph Lalmuanawma received a second yellow card in the 35th minute. Anwar Ali and Ezzejjari were the standout performers, with Ali grabbing a brace and Ezzejjari converting two penalties as East Bengal exploited their numerical advantage ruthlessly. This emphatic victory propels East Bengal firmly into title contention while leaving Mohammedan's season in tatters, facing a potential confidence crisis that could derail their remaining campaign.
