Pivotal“Mauro Martín's equalizer completes a remarkable fightback for ten-man Atlético Progreso”
PivotalAtlético Progreso and Albion served up an entertaining four-goal thriller that swung dramatically after a first-half red card changed the complexion of the match. The hosts took an early lead through Nicolás Fernández in the 9th minute, but José Álvarez's 37th-minute dismissal left them battling with ten men for over half the match. Albion capitalized on their numerical advantage in the second half, with Francisco Ginella leveling before substitute Álvaro López completed what looked like a winning turnaround just minutes after coming on. However, Mauro Martín's 78th-minute equalizer salvaged a precious point for the ten-man hosts, who showed tremendous resilience to fight back from behind and avoid defeat despite their disadvantage.
