Defensor Sporting produced a gutsy comeback performance to claim a crucial 2-1 victory over Nacional in this Primera Division encounter. After falling behind early through Luciano Boggio's eighth-minute opener, the home side showed resilience to level through Alexander Machado's strike on the stroke of half-time. The match's defining moment came in the 76th minute when Brian Montenegro fired Defensor ahead, capitalizing on what appeared to be effective tactical adjustments during the second half. This vital three points will provide significant relief for Defensor Sporting's league campaign, while Nacional will rue their inability to hold onto their early advantage in what was ultimately a hard-fought local affair.
