Paysandu produced one of the most dramatic comebacks in Copa do Brasil history, overturning a 2-0 deficit to snatch a 3-2 victory in the dying moments. Portuguesa looked comfortable after Igor Torres and Renê gave them a commanding first-half lead, but Pedro Henrique Gonçalves da Silva's goal just after the break sparked the visitors' revival. The turning point came when Eduardo Biazus received his marching orders in the 68th minute, leaving Portuguesa exposed. With the numerical advantage, Paysandu's relentless pressure finally paid off in stoppage time as Ítalo Carvalho leveled before Castro completed the stunning turnaround just moments later. This remarkable victory keeps Paysandu's cup dreams alive while Portuguesa will rue throwing away what seemed like a certain passage to the next round.
