Goiás
Goiás secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Maringá in this Copa do Brasil encounter, with substitute Abdourahman Okieh proving to be the hero with his 88th-minute winner. The match was a caggy affair characterized by numerous fouls and bookings, with both teams struggling to create clear-cut chances for much of the contest. Maringá's task became significantly harder when Thiago Rosa received his second yellow card in the 86th minute, and Goiás capitalized immediately through Okieh's late strike. This result will boost Goiás' confidence in the cup competition while leaving Maringá to rue their disciplinary issues and inability to convert their opportunities before the red card changed the game's complexion.
