2 – 2
“Myron van Brederode broke the deadlock for Mechelen with a right-footed finish, the away side capitalising on early pressure after Koudou had tested the hosts twice before the opener.”
Pivotal“Anderlecht restored parity almost immediately through Nathan-Dylan Saliba, just two minutes after falling behind, resetting the match before it had barely got going.”
Pivotal“Thérence Koudou put Mechelen back in front with the hour mark having just passed, punishing Anderlecht's wastefulness in front of goal and handing the visitors a lead they looked capable of protecting.”
Pivotal“Deep into stoppage time, with Mechelen's players already celebrating what appeared to be a famous away victory, Ilay Camara equalised to make it 2-2 and deny the visitors the win — the goal arriving seconds after Mory Konaté had been booked for a cynical foul.”
PivotalOutstanding performance

Anderlecht dominated the statistical landscape — 59% possession, 13 shots to Mechelen's nine, nine on target compared to three — yet repeatedly struggled to convert that superiority into goals, missing both big chances they created. Mechelen, disciplined and direct on the counter, twice took the lead and seemed to have engineered a famous away point right up until deep into added time. The match turned on Thérence Koudou's 60th-minute strike for the visitors, which put Mechelen back in front after Nathan-Dylan Saliba had cancelled out Myron van Brederode's early opener. Brian Riemer responded with a wave of substitutions — Thorgan Hazard and Killian Sardella among those thrown on — as Anderlecht pressed relentlessly, and it was that desperation that eventually paid off when Ilay Camara bundled home in the 90th minute to make it 2-2. For Anderlecht, a point salvaged from the jaws of defeat; for Mechelen, two points dropped in the closing seconds of a game they controlled for long stretches.
