Outstanding performance

Kilmarnock were simply superior over the course of ninety minutes at Almondvale, turning a brief Livingston lead into a four-goal triumph through a combination of clinical finishing and sharper decision-making. Stevie May gave the hosts a deserved early advantage in the 19th minute, but Kilmarnock responded immediately through Joe Hugill, and by the 34th minute Nicky Clescenco had put the visitors ahead for the first time. The pattern of the match was then settled — Kilmarnock's 14 shots to Livingston's nine told a story of sustained pressure, and crucially they missed none of their big chances while the hosts wasted two of their three. Findlay Curtis extended the lead shortly after the restart before Hugill grabbed his second to put the result beyond doubt, leaving Livingston rooted in the bottom half of the Premiership table with little to show from a day when they briefly threatened to take something from the game.
