Outstanding performance

Napoli settled this one in a decisive five-minute burst either side of the half-hour mark, with Kevin De Bruyne converting a VAR-awarded penalty before Noa Lang doubled the lead moments later with a clinical finish from the center of the box. From there Napoli controlled the game without needing to press too hard, holding 51% possession and creating four big chances to Frosinone's none, while De Bruyne's late close-range goal in stoppage time put a flattering gloss on the scoreline. Frosinone, despite more dangerous attacks on the counter and a heavy workload of tackles (18 to Napoli's 9), were toothless in the final third, managing just a single shot on target all match. For Napoli this is another confident home performance to build momentum in the title race, while Frosinone's defensive resilience in patches won't disguise an attack that offered almost nothing of note.
