Outstanding performance

Brøndby tore into Lyngby from the first whistle, racing to a 3-0 lead inside 38 minutes through Ambæk's brace and a Hyseni strike, despite Lyngby enjoying 60% possession and out-passing their hosts 602 to 390. The hosts were ruthlessly efficient, converting five of their 14 shots while creating five big chances to Lyngby's one, a clinical display built on 10 counter-attacks that repeatedly caught Lyngby's high line exposed. Max Ejdum's header just after the restart made it 4-0 and effectively ended any hope of a comeback, though Lyngby showed character with goals from Jens Thomasen and substitute Markus Anderson either side of Oskar Fenger's fifth. The result lifts Brøndby's confidence heading into the title conversation, while Lyngby's defensive fragility - conceding five despite dominating the ball - will worry a side that had looked to be building form.
