FC Twente
Outstanding performance
Fortuna Sittard•AttackerFortuna Sittard stunned Twente with an early set-piece goal, Anthony Descotte heading home Mohamed Ihattaren's cross just nine minutes in. Twente responded by dominating possession (57%) and territory, racking up 83 dangerous attacks to Sittard's 23, and were rewarded when Robin Pröpper bundled in from a corner in the 34th minute. Despite controlling the game thereafter, Twente's attacking numbers never converted into a second goal, with Sittard's defense holding firm through a stream of second-half substitutions from both sides. The result leaves Twente frustrated at dropping points despite statistical dominance, while Sittard will take confidence from securing a draw against a side pushing for the title race.
