Outstanding performance

Brest were utterly dominant from the opening whistle, racing into a 4-0 halftime lead built on clinical finishing and a well-worked penalty, with Ajorque, Tousart, Lala and Baldé all getting on the scoresheet inside the first 45 minutes. The hosts created eight big chances to Angers' solitary one, and their 19 shots to 9 reflected a complete territorial and attacking superiority. Angers briefly threatened a fightback through Prosper Peter's close-range header just two minutes into the second half, but Mboup's strike moments later snuffed out any hope of a comeback. Jordan Lefort's 59th-minute red card compounded Angers' misery, and the result leaves Brest riding high in form while Angers face serious questions after a chastening afternoon on the road.
How entertaining was this match?
Brest look to snap a two-match losing streak at home against an Angers side that's quietly building the better early-season record. With both teams mid-table and separated by just two points, this Francis-Le Blé clash could go either way but points to a tight, low-scoring affair.
