PivotalOutstanding performance

Jagiellonia dominated the ball with 59% possession and nearly double the passes of their opponents, but Górnik Zabrze made their limited chances count in devastating fashion, scoring twice inside nine second-half minutes through Jaroslaw Kubicki and Sondre Liseth. Jesús Imaz dragged the hosts back into it with two goals of his own either side of a flurry of substitutions, but Jagiellonia's profligacy in front of goal - just 2 shots on target from 10 attempts - proved costly against a Górnik side that hit the target 8 times from 14 shots. The result keeps Górnik firmly in the title picture while Jagiellonia's wastefulness at both ends of the pitch will be a concern despite their control of the game. A frantic final half-hour, shaped heavily by five substitutions in quick succession, ultimately couldn't find Jagiellonia an equalizer as Górnik held on for a statement away win.
