Lech Poznań raced into a commanding position through Antoni Kozubal and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, both created by Patrik Walemark, exploiting Widzew's disjointed defending inside the first 22 minutes. Widzew responded impressively, with Karol Świderski and Mariusz Fornalczyk dragging the hosts level by the 53rd minute despite Lech's dominance in possession (61%) and passing accuracy (84%). Lech's greater control of dangerous attacks (55 to 37) and clinical edge eventually told, as they weathered the Widzew storm and closed out the win despite committing far more fouls (11 to 4) and conceding late pressure. The result nudges Lech further into title contention while Widzew's battling display will offer some encouragement despite falling to a damaging home defeat.
