“Debrecen made their first substitution of the second half, introducing Bence Batik in what proved to be the start of a wholesale reshuffling that effectively killed the match's rhythm and allowed Debrecen to manage their aggregate lead through fresh defensive personnel.”
“Ádám Lang was booked for a foul as Debrecen's defence worked hard to contain a Pyunik side pushing for the goal they desperately needed to keep the tie alive.”
“Witiness Quembo was booked for arguing with the referee, compounding Debrecen's disciplinary concerns as the match entered its final quarter, with Pyunik still unable to break through despite a succession of substitutions injecting fresh legs.”
“Ákos Szendrei was booked in stoppage time for a foul, a fitting symbol of Debrecen's gritty, by-any-means-necessary approach to protecting their aggregate lead on a night where discipline had frayed but the result had not.”
Outstanding performance

Debrecen arrived in Yerevan with a one-goal aggregate lead and proceeded to defend it with disciplined, organised pragmatism, sitting deep enough to frustrate Pyunik while remaining dangerous on the counter. Pyunik dominated in terms of attacking intent — 17 shots to Debrecen's 16 — but their finishing was woefully lacking, with only four on target and no big chances created all evening. Debrecen's goalkeeper was called into action five times and delivered when it mattered. The match was surprisingly even on paper, with possession split exactly 50-50 and nearly identical pass counts, but Debrecen's 69 dangerous attacks compared to Pyunik's 49 told the story of a side that never truly released the handbrake. A flurry of substitutions in the second half — six changes across both sides between the 56th and 84th minute — disrupted any rhythm Pyunik tried to build, and three yellow cards, including a late one for Ákos Szendrei in stoppage time, underlined the growing frustration from a Debrecen side that was doing whatever it took to see the tie out. Pyunik were eliminated, their European adventure ending on home soil without a goal to show for their efforts across both legs.
