Outstanding performance
Nottingham Forest•AttackerNottingham Forest struck almost immediately after the restart, with Liam Delap finding the net just seconds into the second half to silence Villa Park. Aston Villa responded with fresh legs off the bench, and their pressure told when Alysson - introduced at halftime - rose highest to head home from a corner and level things at 1-1. Despite the response, Forest held firm defensively down the stretch to secure a 2-1 win, a result that will sting Villa given their mid-table position and inconsistent recent form. For Forest, this is a statement result against a rival with real pedigree, boosting their own push up the table.
