Motherwell looked to be cruising after Tawanda Maswanhise and Regan Charles-Cook put them 2-0 up inside 24 minutes, with Maswanhise even having a penalty saved in between. But St. Mirren produced one of the great late first-half turnarounds, scoring three times between the 39th and 45th minute through Paul Nsio, Declan John and Samuel Ramos to somehow lead 3-2 at the break. The second half went quiet by comparison after a flurry of substitutions on both sides, until Jardell Kanga popped up in the sixth minute of stoppage time to snatch a 3-3 draw for Motherwell. St. Mirren's home floor position made the fightback all the more eye-catching, while Motherwell will rue throwing away a two-goal cushion against a struggling side, a damaging result given their stated title ambitions this season.
