3 – 1
Did it deliver?
For the fixture, it over-delivered, even though the first hour was sluggish. Three goals in the last five minutes, a penalty and a post-hit shot turned a quiet game into a real finish.
Portsmouth won with only 36% possession and 53% pass accuracy. They defended deep, made 13 shots to Swansea's 9, and had more dangerous attacks (51 to 37). Swansea had 64% possession and 494 passes but created little of note and were punished for it. Devlin gave Pompey the lead before the break, finishing from Odin Bailey's assist after a corner and a blocked Adrian Segecic effort. Swansea levelled through a Zan Vipotnik penalty in the 85th minute, and Ross Stewart then hit the post. Portsmouth did not fold, and Devlin struck again from a corner in the 90th minute before Thomas Waddingham made it 3-1. The result is a big three points for Portsmouth in the league. Swansea will be frustrated at conceding late again after controlling the ball for so long.

Portsmouth are unbeaten in five and welcome second-placed Swansea to Fratton Park on Tuesday night. The Swans come off a 4-0 thrashing of Blackburn and have beaten Pompey in both league meetings last season, so the hosts have something to prove.
Back in action after Burnley, the winger gives Pompey pace and creativity with Swift and Anderson out.
