Outstanding performance

Stoke City took control at the tail end of the first half when Jack McGlynn converted from a scrambled corner situation to make it 1-0, and they doubled their advantage early in the second half through Eric Bocat, who finished off a move assisted by Lamine Cisse after Watford had failed to clear their lines following shots from Ben Johnson and Justin Devenny. Watford pushed hard for a way back and got a foothold late on when Amin Nabizada, assisted by Edo Kayembe, pulled one back in the 90th minute after Luca Kjerrumgaard's effort was saved and a corner followed. It wasn't enough, though, as Stoke held on for a 2-1 away win that will boost their push up the table, while Watford will be frustrated at falling behind through two clinical Stoke strikes despite generating late chances of their own.
How entertaining was this match?
Watford host Stoke City with both sides fresh off bounce-back moments after tricky spells - the Hornets ended a five-game winless run against Preston, while Stoke's promising start hit a bump with a Cardiff draw. A tight mid-table clash that could swing either way.
