Outstanding performance
FC Barcelona•DefenderBarcelona needed just two minutes to set the tone, with Anthony Gordon finishing from outside the box, and doubled their lead inside half an hour through Gabriel Jesus after sustained pressure. From there it was a procession - Barcelona racked up 23 shots and 7 big chances to Getafe's solitary effort on goal, dominating possession at 83% and completing nearly five times as many passes. Jules Koundé added gloss to the scoreline in the 73rd minute, converting from close range after a corner, with the goal confirmed by VAR. Getafe never threatened a response, managing just 4 shots all game, and this result keeps Barcelona firmly in the title conversation while Getafe will need to regroup quickly against better defensive discipline in their next outings.
