FC Köln
Outstanding performance
VfB Stuttgart•MidfielderStuttgart controlled this from the opening whistle, dominating possession at 58% and doubling Köln's shot count, but it was their ruthless efficiency in the second half that truly separated the sides. El Khannouss broke the deadlock just before halftime, and after Köln briefly threatened through Jóhannesson and Krauß, Prömel restored daylight at 60' before Demirovic's angled finish and a late Vagnoman strike sealed a comprehensive win. Köln's own Ramon Hendriks turned the ball into his own net for a rare bright spot, but it barely dented the scoreline. For Stuttgart this result cements their position near the top of the table and continues a strong run of form, while Köln will need to regroup quickly given their five conceded big chances went badly punished.
