Woodford Town vs Sawbridgeworth Town - FA Cup

Woodford Town made their FA Cup campaign a winning one from the off, dispatching Sawbridgeworth Town 3-1 in what appears to have been a controlled and relatively comfortable afternoon's work. The hosts — sitting fourth in their league and carrying decent form — were simply the stronger side on the day, and the two-goal winning margin flatters neither party nor does it mislead. Sawbridgeworth grabbed a consolation to keep the scoreline respectable, but they never truly threatened to turn the tie. For Woodford, this is a confidence-boosting early cup run result that builds momentum heading into league competition, while Sawbridgeworth must regroup and focus their energies on domestic form after a chastening afternoon.
