Brantham Athletic vs Halstead Town - FA Cup

Brantham Athletic made their superior quality tell over the course of 90 minutes, easing past Halstead Town with a convincing 3-1 win to advance in the FA Cup. The hosts were clearly the more organised and purposeful side, and while Halstead did manage to find the net and avoid a shutout, they were rarely able to threaten Brantham's grip on the match in any sustained way. For Brantham, this cup run will provide valuable momentum and confidence heading into their league campaign, while Halstead will feel some encouragement from the consolation but must regroup quickly for their domestic commitments. The nature of the scoreline suggests Brantham controlled the tempo and were clinical when the opportunities presented themselves, turning the tie into a relatively comfortable afternoon's work.
