Raynes Park Vale
Holmesdale
Holmesdale were simply in a different class on the day, dismantling Raynes Park Vale with a ruthless five-goal performance that never looked in doubt once the away side hit their stride. Raynes Park Vale managed to find the net once — a consolation that barely registered amid the wreckage — but they were outclassed in every department against opponents who showed why they came into this tie as clear favourites. For Holmesdale, this is the kind of statement result that builds momentum and confidence heading deeper into the FA Cup, with a place in the next round secured in convincing fashion. Raynes Park Vale, meanwhile, must regroup quickly; a defeat of this magnitude carries psychological weight and their league campaign will need to provide an immediate response.
How entertaining was this match?
Raynes Park Vale host Holmesdale in Saturday's FA Cup Preliminary Round, looking to kick-start their cup campaign just days after a heavy league defeat. With goals flowing freely for both sides in recent outings, this grassroots cup clash could be an entertaining afternoon of non-league football.
