St Blazey vs Barnstaple Town - FA Cup

St Blazey secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Barnstaple Town in the FA Cup, advancing at the expense of their visitors in what appeared to be a closely contested affair befitting the cup's unpredictable early rounds. The home side managed to find two goals against a Barnstaple team that pulled one back to set up a nervy finish, but ultimately St Blazey held firm to claim the win. For St Blazey, this represents a meaningful scalp in the FA Cup and will provide a significant confidence boost, while Barnstaple Town will feel the sting of a cup exit having given themselves a foothold in the match. The 2-1 margin flatters neither side entirely — St Blazey showed enough resolve to see it through, and that mental fortitude may prove as valuable as the result itself.
