Outstanding performance

Mallorca needed just 24 minutes to do all the damage, with Adrián Fuentes punishing Sabadell twice while the visitors were still finding their rhythm. Despite the scoreline, the underlying numbers tell a different story: Sabadell dominated territorially with 62 dangerous attacks to Mallorca's 26 and piled on 18 shots and 7 corners, but they were toothless in the final third, managing just one big chance created all match. Mallorca, by contrast, were ruthlessly efficient, converting two of their four big chances and doing enough defensively to protect the lead despite conceding late second-half pressure. For Mallorca this is a timely response given their mid-table position, while Sabadell's inability to convert their control into goals will be the bigger concern heading into their next fixture.
