Outstanding performance
FC Midtjylland•DefenderFC Midtjylland completed a comprehensive 6-1 aggregate dismantling of Rijeka to advance to the Europa Conference League group stage, winning Thursday's second leg 4-1 in Croatia. Rijeka gave the home crowd an early lift through Daniel Adu-Adjei's fourth-minute opener, but Midtjylland responded swiftly and then systematically pulled the game apart after the break. The statistics told the full story: the Danes registered 19 shots to Rijeka's nine, generated 42 dangerous attacks compared to just 18, and controlled 56 percent of possession throughout. After Stanley Iheanacho headed in an equaliser from a corner before half-time, goals from Osorio, Magnus Jensen, and substitute Gue-sung Cho in the second half sealed a dominant display that underlined the gulf in class between the two sides across both legs.
