Badshot Lea vs AFC Stoneham - FA Cup

AFC Stoneham made the trip to Badshot Lea and left with a clean sheet and a place in the next round, recording a composed 2-0 victory that was rarely in doubt. Stoneham, carrying stronger league form and greater individual quality into the contest, imposed themselves on a Badshot Lea side that struggled to generate meaningful attacking threat throughout. The two goals, coming without reply, painted the picture of an away team in control rather than a host side that pushed them close. For Badshot Lea, a cup exit at this early stage is a disappointment but their league campaign remains the priority, while Stoneham will take confidence from a professional road performance as they progress deeper into the FA Cup.
