Witham Town
Stotfold FC
Witham Town needed a stirring finish to avoid a cup upset against a Stotfold side that led for large periods of the second half. The home side struck first through an early goal in the 17th minute, only for Lewis Thomas to level things up seven minutes later and set the tone for a tense, tightly contested afternoon. Taylor Franklin's 76th-minute strike looked to have won it for Stotfold, but Witham Town showed real character, equalising in the 80th minute before snatching a dramatic winner in the dying seconds of stoppage time. For Witham, the comeback will do wonders for morale heading into league action, while Stotfold will rue a missed chance to cause an upset having been so close to progressing.
