Desborough Town vs AFC Rushden & Diamonds - FA Cup

AFC Rushden & Diamonds made home advantage count for nothing, using their superior squad quality to see off Desborough Town with a comfortable three-goal cup victory. The visitors' greater experience and firepower told over the course of the match, with Desborough unable to find a way through a well-organised defensive unit. This was a routine cup afternoon for Rushden, who progress with confidence intact, while Desborough's giant-killing hopes were snuffed out early and their season now refocuses on league matters. The clean sheet and comfortable scoreline suggest Rushden barely had to break sweat to book their place in the next round.
